This means using only domestic feedstock for our fuel and investing in carbon offsets for the small petroleum inputs needed to get the fuel from the field to your tank.
We envision and strive for a local economy that utilizes agricultural byproducts from here in the Northwest to sustainably produce quality fuel. Fuel that is locally grown, produced, and consumed can enrich our economy, help our environment, and improve our quality of life.
Unfortunately, this vision is being compromised by the marketing of fuel made from unsustainable sources such as foriegn palm oil. Transporting raw materials across the globe not only undermines the environmental benefits of biodiesel, but also discourages local farmers and industry leaders from developing a sustainable biofuels economy.
